Table allocation and room plan
Tables for the IET Annual Dinner are allocated based on the date that payment for the table(s) is received by the IET; therefore if you are booking tables separately we cannot guarantee they will be placed together.
The finalised room plan will be available to download from the website the week commencing Monday 27 January 2014.
The seating plan form must be completed and returned to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 1 February 2014, to guarantee your guests' details are listed. Due to printing deadlines we cannot guarantee that any information received after this date will be included.
Any changes to your guest list after Friday 1 February 2014 please e-mail your revised guest list to email@example.com. This will ensure that guests who are not listed in the seating booklet may be directed to their tables upon their arrival.
The IET Annual Dinner 2014 official seating booklet will be available on the evening. The booklet will include the first initial and surname, together with any titles, decorations or degrees of all who attend the dinner based on the information provided by the table booker.
I am an international delegate, why do I need to pay VAT?
Conferences that take place in the UK are liable for UK VAT as they are classed under VAT legislation as 'services' and therefore VAT is chargeable at source.
Overseas delegates must pay the VAT charged on their invoice initially but may be able to claim this back from the UK VAT office.
Cancellation charges are as follows:
- 32+ days before event start date = Full refund
- 15 - 31 days before event start date = 50% of fee
- 0 - 14 days before event start date = No refund
Name substitutions are accepted at any time by fax or email. The IET reserves the right to cancel any event. In this case, the full fee will be refunded unless a mutually convenient transfer can be arranged.
Due to restrictions placed on financial transactions with Iran by the EU, UN and US authorities, we hereby give notice that the IET is now unable to undertake any such transactions with any individual or organisation based within Iran via the Iranian Banking infrastructure or by any other mechanism.
As a result of this it is no longer possible for the IET to make available the following goods and services:
- Books journals or any other paid-for publications
- All paid for events
- Any other financial transactions
