One day tutorial - IEC 61850 and its Application to Protection Systems
Synopsis
IEC 61850 is an international standard for communications in protection and control schemes within the power system plant. It offers a major step forward in the integration of multi-function equipment across all levels of the power network. However, in order for it to succeed, engineers need to fully understand it and appreciate its advantages and disadvantages.
The tutorial is planned to take place on the Monday preceding the main activities of the conference.
