In this lecture, Sir Michael Pepper, Pender Professor of Nanoelectronics in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Honorary Professor of Physics, University College London (UCL) will discuss the progress on the application of semiconductor devices and technology for exploration of fundamental physical phenomena.
He will present a summary on the present uses of such devices.
This will include effects based on the use of electrostatic confinement for inter-dimensional transitions and quantisation phenomena.
