Professor Sir Martin SweetingSmall Satellites - Big Future

Professor Sir Martin Sweeting
Director, Surrey Space Centre & Executive Chairman, Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd

Tuesday, 19 January 2010 | IET London: Savoy Place

The Appleton Lecture was established in 1965 to commemorate the life and work of Sir Edward Appleton, a widely honoured physicist and Nobel Prize winner who is mainly noted for research into the upper atmosphere.

In keeping with this theme we are delighted that Professor Sir Martin Sweeting, a world renowned expert on satellites from the Surrey Space Centre will be giving his talk on small satellites. Sir Martin Sweeting’s visionary leadership, satellite expertise, ambition and drive has brought the overheads involved in space exploration, down to earth.

Sir Martin Sweeting's talk will be the 45th in this lecture series.
