The lecture was given by Dieter Helm CBE, Professor of Energy Policy at the University of Oxford, and Fellow in Economics at New College, Oxford.

Professor Helm is an economist specialising in utilities, infrastructure, regulation and the environment, and concentrating on the energy, water, communications and transport sectors primarily in Britain and Europe.


He is an author of “The Carbon Crunch: How We're Getting Climate Change Wrong - and How to Fix It” book, a provocative analysis of the global climate-change.
