Over 100 delegates attended 2014’s sell-out Nuclear Engineering seminar covering safety, control and security. Specific sessions on human factors, learning from the aviation industry and new build challenges at Hinkley Point C were particularly appreciated.

The programme also included popular presentations on solutions to ageing, obsolescence and life extension, improving the acceptance of safety-critical software use, nuclear safety maintenance and line of sight to the safety case and incorporating cyber security into plant safety.

For 2015 we are calling for contributions from individuals and relevant organisations who have not previously been asked to present. The theme remains safety, control and security throughout the nuclear lifecycle:

  • New build
  • Existing plant operations / through life management
  • Decommissioning / end of use management
  • Resourcing the nuclear Industry
