Power outages in the UK have a major impact on businesses and can cause significant productivity and financial losses each time they occur.
It’s not just the consumer who can suffer, if the power quality of the network is bad, then loads connected to it will fail or will have a reduced lifetime, and consequently efficiency of the electrical installation will reduce.
Installation running costs and carbon footprint will be high or operation may not be possible at all as expensive and sensitive equipment can be damaged beyond repair. Furthermore there is a risk of not meeting the legal obligation imposed.
Poor power quality is wasteful, and its correction presents a number of technical, financial and environmental benefits.
Read more about how this seminar can provide you with the insights to ensure power supply is protected from generation through transmission, distribution and consumption.
Submit your two page full paper before 24 August for the opportunity to deliver your work in the form of an oral presentation of a poster to the entire audience.
For more information on how to submit and the benefits of doing so see the call for posters page.
