Following the success of Power in Unity 2013 The IET is delighted to bring to you a one day, multi-stream conference focusing on Smart Grid, Power Quality, Smart Metering and Energy Storage both individually and as a whole system.

Mix with the influencers involved in smart grid forums and expert groups and meet the engineers implementing innovative solutions on current projects.

You decide which stream you’d like to attend or plan your day choosing topics you’re interested in the most.

Highlight of the event

The IET Power Network Joint Vision (PNJV) expert group was formed in November 2012   which published a report in December 2013 titled Electricity Networks: Handling a Shock to the System.

This report recommends a ‘systems architect’ role to oversee the UK electricity system to help it adapt to meet the complex new requirements of a low carbon economy. The Power Networks Joint Vision’s work highlights the urgent need for whole-system philosophy.

Hear from a selection of leading professionals from the PNJV Expert Group about the challenges being faced in integrating low carbon generation to the grid while decarbonising heat and transport and to discuss the role of a system architect for the UK electricity system.
