The first RPG™ conference was held in Edinburgh, UK in 2011.
Following a highly successful event in Beijing, China, in September 2013, the conference series returns to Europe, with RPG 2014 taking place in Naples in September.
Closely aligned to the IET’s Renewable Power Generation Journal the conference scope will bring together the topics of renewable energy technology, power generation and systems integration.
What differentiates IET Renewable Power Generation from technology specific journals is a concern with power generation and how the characteristics of the different renewable sources affect electrical power conversion, including power electronic design, integration in to power systems, and techno-economic issues.
Other technologies that have a direct role in sustainable power generation such as fuel cells and energy storage are also covered, as are system control approaches such as demand side management, that facilitate the integration of renewable sources into power systems, both large and small.
Selected papers presented at the conference will be invited for consideration in a Special Issue in the IET Renewable Power Generation journal.
Benefits of publishing in IET Renewable Power Generation:
- Rigorous peer review of your research
- Prompt turnaround and rapid publication times
- An international and multidisciplinary audience
- High visibility and global exposure
IET Renewable Power Generation is indexed in the following database: IET Inspec, SCI-E, Scopus and EI Compendex .
Articles published in the journal are available on the IET Digital Library and IEEE Xplore.

Conference chair Professor Renato Rizzo, Dept. Electrical Engineering and Information Technology University of Naples says:
“I am delighted to chair RPG™ 2014 in Italy. The power from renewable sources has been growing steadily in the last few years and new technologies help to meet low carbon targets.IET RPG™ is a flagship international conference around renewable energy sources.
|"The forthcoming edition will bring together researchers from industry and academia and professional engineers to discuss the latest progress on renewable energy sources and propose viable solutions for the power generation of the future."|
