RTIC2012 - extension for papers to midnight 2nd April 2012
An important message for all those that missed the CFP deadline.
Good news for those working hard on abstracts for this year’s RTIC Conference in London – we’re extending the submission deadline for abstracts by 1 week until 2nd April 2012. You have 7 more days to refine your ideas for papers. The remaining dates in the process are not expected to shift.
Since 2008 RTIC has been produced jointly as the IET Road Transport Information and Control Conference and the ITS United Kingdom Annual Members’ Conference.

2 April 2012 - Abstract submission extended deadline
27 April 2012 - Extended notification of abstract acceptance
29 June 2012 - Submission of full papers deadline
7 August 2012 - Notification of final paper acceptance
RTIC reviews the latest and most innovative traffic management and public transport systems advances on the road network, through the application of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).

- Working under tighter budgets, the Department for Transport has been looking at innovative solutions for tackling congestion. It involves using a varied range of techniques and policies in the most appropriate contexts, and in a co-ordinated and coherent way, in order to get the most out of our road network
- Motorway speed limit is set to increase from 70mph to 80mph in 2013 so that it reflects the reality of modern vehicles and driving conditions. Under the new plans more roads in built-up areas will be reduced to a 20mph limit
