Welcome

The field of safety critical systems includes all those processes, products and services where a breakdown or design fault might lead to death or injury to people, loss or damage to property, or damage to the environment.

The 17th year of this highly popular course provides an extensive and authoritative account of the requirements for functional safety. The course presenters are experts in their field and can speak with authority on the interpretation of the international standard IEC 61508.

As a delegate you will gain an understanding of how IEC 61508 should be interpreted and applied. You will be introduced to the technical, management, assessment and competence issues together with the associated safety regulatory implications and potential future changes to the standard.

Upon arrival each delegate will receive a list of participants and a copy of the course notes. In addition to this, each delegate will receive a copy of the IEC 61508 standard to keep (this document costs in excess of £500 to purchase on its own). In addition, each delegate will receive a number of other related publications.
