About the course

This highly popular professional development course provides an extensive and authoritative account of functional safety requirements and how IEC 61508 should be interpreted and applied.

On completion of the course participants will have a firm grounding in the theory and practice of modern techniques for defining and managing the risk potential of computer based systems.

Course objectives

This professional development course will:

  • Enable participants to develop an understanding of the key aspects of IEC 61508
  • Cover the various phases of the safety lifecycle in a systematic manner
  • Deal with systems, hardware, software and human factor issues
  • Address risk based approaches to the development of the safety requirements specification
  • Allow participants to consider and apply the requirements of IEC 61508 in a realistic manner through case study material and practical exercises
  • Provide the opportunity to address practical work based issues

  • Two company representatives to attend the dinner

Delegate bag sponsor - £500 + VAT

The delegate bag will be distributed to all delegates at the course and will no doubt be used long after the event, creating maximum branding exposure for your organisation.

As a delegate bag sponsor, a wide range of sponsorship opportunities will be made available to you.

 

Branding – your logo will feature:

  • The IET events website along with a hyperlink to your website
  • On the delegate bag in two colour

Inserts are also available at £300 + vat per insert.

The delegate folders will be distributed to all delegates at the course for them to use through the week and will no doubt be used long after the event, creating maximum branding exposure for your organisation.
