Author information
The call for papers deadline has now passed. The following are notes for authors who have submitted to the conference:
Following the review of papers, successful authors will be contacted on 15 February 2012, and invited to submit a final paper to the conference.
Accepted papers
Each paper must have at least one author registered and a final paper submitted by 28 March 2012, to avoid the paper being withdrawn from the conference proceedings. The author must attend the conference to present the submission.
You are reminded that the IET or other associated societies cannot meet any travelling or subsistence expenses for authors, either prior to or during the conference.
Submitting a full paper
To submit your final paper you will need to re-enter the online submission system.
Please check very carefully that all the information you have provided is correct. Here is a summary of what you should have provided:
- Click on the number of the paper you wish to submit
- Check the title is still correct
- Browse to upload your .pdf camera-ready file. Please do not page number your file
- Ensure a biography of the presenting author is entered

- Ensure affiliations are correct. This is for the organisation you represent, e.g. London Power Associates Ltd and not professional affiliation e.g. The IET
- Click finish to complete. You will receive a confirmation email
Presentation information
Each author presenting an oral paper will be asked to submit PowerPoint slides in advance of the conference to wfoster@theiet.org. Delegates should bring a copy of their slides on USB stick with them to the conference as a back-up.
- Please submit your PowerPoint slides by no later than Tuesday 1 May 2012
- Presentations should last no longer than twenty minutes as we allow ten minutes per presentation for questions from the audience
