Ellie Wilson
Instrumentation and Control Technician, SemLogistics

Ellie is currently employed as an Instrumentation and Control Technician at SemLogistics, an Upper Tier COMAH oil storage facility in Pembrokeshire.

Having completed a four year apprenticeship, Ellie is now responsible for installing and maintaining all instrumentation and control systems on site.

Jamie D’Ath
Engineering Apprentice, MBDA

Jamie recently entered the fourth year of her apprenticeship at MBDA, a leading missile and missile systems company.

Rotating around the business on placements, Jamie has been involved in a wide range of activities – from completing complex drawings for parts and assemblies, to analysing procurement statistics, to conducting trials.

Dr Larissa Suzuki
Honorary Research Associate, University College London

Dr Larissa Suzuki is a passionate computer scientist, inventor and engineer. She holds a PhD in Computer Science, an MPhil in Electrical Engineering and a BSc in Computer Science.

Her professional career includes over 10 years advancing fields of computer science and engineering, including work on smart cities, data infrastructures, emerging technology, and computing applied to medicine.

Dr Ozak Esu
Electrical Engineer, Cundall

Dr Ozak Esu is an Electrical Engineer at Cundall, a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. Working within Building Services, she undertakes surveys of existing buildings, and engineers co-ordinated electrical services for new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects.

Ozak completed her PhD in 2016 at Loughborough University in Wind Energy and Advanced Signal Processing whilst working as a Graduate Engineer at Cundall. She continues to involve herself in academia, taking on guest speaking and lecturing roles in different universities.

Dr Shaona Ghosh
Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing Scientist, Apple Inc.

Dr Shaona Ghosh is a Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing Scientist at Apple Inc.

Prior to this she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering. Here she developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm for predictions and auto-corrections for touch-screen keyboards and wearable devices.

Sophie Caffrey
Technical Apprentice: Electronics, Leonardo MW

Sophie is a Technical Apprentice at Leonardo MW, which specialises in aerospace, defence and security technology. She is currently working in Applied Research, looking at new and emerging technologies within defence.

Since beginning her apprenticeship in 2015, she has predominantly worked in Hardware, designing and developing schematics and printed circuit boards.
