IET Fundraising

The exciting and fast-paced technological advances we see around us every day are truly inspiring and we want to enthuse and support the next generation of engineers.

We need more engineers. Industry relies on sufficient numbers of well qualified and diverse engineers to grow manufacturing and lead the world in first class technology in the years and decades to come.

So what are we doing? We have identified two types of programme where we would like your help to engineer a better world.

First Lego League Participants

The first is to generate excitement and raise awareness among young children through school-based activities such as First® LEGO® League and our very own Faraday Challenge days so that they choose STEM subjects which will enable them to go onto engineering studies and careers.

The second is supporting engineering students and apprentices with scholarships and bursaries to be more deeply engaged with the IET and the engineering profession so that they remain motivated and engaged and choose to pursue careers in engineering.

We want to ensure that our members and others share our vision.

Your donation will help inspire and support the next generation of engineers. All donations will directly support our educational programmes with 5-19 year olds, Diamond Jubilee Scholarships and Engineering Horizons Bursaries.

If you would like to make a donation to a specific programme then please contact Bhavini Bhatt +44 (0) 1438 767253.
